SPACE VIKING JOURNEY WITH AN 80S REVIVAL TWIST

For older fans, the 80’s are a nostalgic period. For younger audiences, it’s an exciting, retro and fantastical era - full of fun and escapism. We had something for everyone with a dash of nostalgia to hint at the midlife crisis Thor faced in his journey.

By combining the visuals with a dash of thunderous animated lightening as well as using the native ❤️ icons on social platforms we aimed to create an evocative, enjoyable ride for fans.


SOCIAL CAMPAIGN

the challenge

Despite the title, Thor Love & Thunder did not want to be positioned as a love story. With limited information from the trailers and no plot provided beforehand (a standard with Marvel projects) we had to create a campaign that introduced love and thunder in an unexpected way.

 
 
 

the idea

To promote Taika Waititi’s newest rock and roll rollercoaster journey, we decided to give love and thunder a whole new meaning on socials. 

Every social platform has a heart in its interface. By playing with the UI, each heart unlocked a thunderous fun piece of content bringing ❤️ & together in an exciting way.
